Out With Ski & Ken

Ski came by at 7:00 AM and we took off to Delaware to return his rental car. We got there in good time and actually had some time to kill before meeting up with Ken at 10:00. We headed off to find ArdenCache, one we did not attempt the other day on our Delaware run for we couldn’t find the way in. A more careful reading of the cache page answered our question. Even though it looked like we were walking on someone’s front lawn to access the woods, all was legal. The cache was hidden basically in someone else’s backyard.

While we were there, we learned that Ski’s Jeep was ready. We probably should have picked it up then, but we would have been really late to meet Ken. As it was, we were 20 minutes late.

We found our way back to the West Deptford park we had all visited before. Ken had already scoped out some approaches. It was decided to re-position to another spot. It turned out to be 80 feet away from the cache. The multi was clever. The second stage is a page out of the Cumberland County Tour (someday you all will see). The last stage was interesting, but was close to a business, which made us all hesitant.

From there it was a few drive and dumps. We stopped and had lunch in-between.

Then it was to the woods. Luvsyak hid one in Lebanon in an area we had not been before. Ski was in good spirits having spotted the cache first. Ken and I searched and finally spotted what Ski had seen. I pulled it out and read the paper:

If you are looking for the Railsplitter cache, keep looking. Follow your GPS.

Great! Ha ha. Ski scrambled to redeem himself and found the actual cache. :) We all liked it out here.

From there it was down to Franklinville for the ATV cache. We wanted to drive in, but it seemed too difficult. We hoofed it and got there in short order. Cache was in good order and we made our exchanges.

After saying goodbye to Ken, Ski and I took off to Delaware again to pick up his Jeep. This was a good day: south of I-195 is clear again.

Also blogged on this date . . .
