Christmas Creche: BALTHAZAR

This is the log I submitted for the Christmas Creche: BALTHAZAR cache, which I found 20 December 2003 @ 8:35 a.m.

After driving by the Fox Hunt virtual, Lynn led us on an interesting drive to this cache. Our caravan entrapped another vehicle into our line as we drove down the road (fortunately, in front of us). As the lead car looked for the turned, we slowed, we sped, we slowed, etc. As we got close, it looked like we were going to pull over on the right. The entrapped car began to pass the first few cars when they each started to turn left. Ski and I watched in horror as there were nearly three accidents in front of us. Fortunately, none happened.

We drove in and then stopped. Despite FRS radios, we had no clue as to why we were just sitting in a line of traffic. Then, we reversed course, left the area, drove back on the road to the other end of this strip.

I was certain we were headed to the Bass plaque by the water, so I just grabbed my camera. We waited for a truck with a boat in tow to negotiate the area to launch. Despite my lack of experience, I am certain I could have done a better job. After that amusement, it was off to the cache.

It was a short walk to the area. It was obvious where this one was going to be. Lynn indicated one would not need to tear apart the wall. Ten cachers make short work of finds. We retrieved the latitude coordinates for the Christmas Creche: THE INN.
