This church bell is at the Church of the Advent in Cape May, NJ. It went out of commission about 20 years ago. It used to hang in a tower about 40 feet from where it now sits. The second photograph shows where the tower used to be. I am not certain why it is not used anymore, but to gain a couple parking spots would not surprise me.
When I was a boy, I had the pleasure of ringing this bell summoning everyone to church. I liked climbing the tower to do so before mass.
