Corzine Doesn’t Care What You Think
Gubernatorial candidate Jon Corzine said he will disregard voters if they do not vote to fund more money for Schools Construction Corporation (SCC).
In an Associated Press (AP) article published Sunday, Corzine re-stated his position to have the SCC build schools in the state’s Abbott districts. The $6 billion it squandered without getting the job done has not dissuaded the would-be governor. Admittedly, he seeks changes at SCC, but he will still entrust the agency with your tax dollars.
Corzine had stated that any new money to SCC should be put to a vote. But now, according to the AP, Corzine will fund the Abbott district construction despite what the New Jersey taxpayers say.
That is an interesting position for one who needs those same folks to vote for him before he can disregard them. I wonder if this strategy of informing one’s constituency it doesn’t rate will pay off.
Remember this, dear reader, on 8 November when you pull the lever for governor.
