Logging Archived Virtuals
Way back when I listed a few virtual caches. I archived them. I wondered then about whether folks would try to log these after they were archived. I was reminded of that recently as I see folks log long-archived virtuals.
As far as I can see, there are two sides to this. One is that the cache “owner” has made a decision about the cache and as owner, he gets to determine whether it is listed or not.
On the other side is the finder who sees a cache that still exists (in most instances). If it were a physical cache that was archived and one found it, few would argue that he should not be able to log it.
So, if the historical marker (for instance) still exists, why shouldn’t it be logged, whether or not the owner archived it or not?
