On High Visibility Caches
DanOCan posted my view of high visibility caches precisely:
In high muggle situations I take the following approach: sign the log and re-hide the cache. If the cache goes missing because someone saw me and then decided to muggle it that is the owner’s problem, not mine. Don’t hide high visibility caches if you aren’t willing to have them go missing.
I would modify the last sentence to: “Don’t hide high visibility caches if you aren’t willing to maintain them.” Of course, Dan’s comment more closely describes reality. I believe that most caches are placed by owners who have no expectation of ever seeing the cache again; caches are disposable to most, imo.
